Revolutionizing Care: Gene Therapy Unveiled for Clinicians

Gene and cell therapies are increasingly becoming a part of modern medical care, but busy clinicians struggle to stay abreast of these rapidly evolving, revolutionary advances in patient care.

This workshop is designed to provide healthcare professionals from diverse backgrounds with a baseline understanding of current gene and cell therapies and as well as emerging trends in the biology, toxicity, and administration of these products.

Participants will walk away with:

  • Insights into currently approved gene and cell therapies, common terminology, and delivery approaches (eg, the use of adeno-associated virus [AAV] vectors)

  • An understanding of clinical trial considerations and emerging trends in the biology, toxicity, and administration of gene and cell therapies

  • The ability to empower patients to make informed decisions around the selection of gene and cell therapies in treatment planning

  • An implementation roadmap to help you integrate emerging gene and cell therapies into practice

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the UMass Chan Medical School and ASGCT.
