Presenting Your Abstract
Submit your abstract through Jan. 31.
Oral Abstract Presentations
Approximately 25% of accepted abstracts are scheduled as oral abstract presentations. Oral abstract presentations are formal PowerPoint presentations given during simultaneous oral abstract sessions. Presentations are 10 minutes long, followed by five minutes of Q&A. Abstract sessions last one hour and 45 minutes and include seven presentations. Presenters are required to disclose any potential conflicts at the beginning of their presentation.
Oral abstract presenters are expected to present at the 28th Annual Meeting live on-site in New Orleans.
Oral abstract presenters will not be given a poster presentation.
Poster Presentations
The remaining 75% of ASGCT abstracts will be presented in the on-site poster hall.
On-site poster boards will be 4' x 8' in landscape orientation (the recommended poster size is 3' x 6'). Posters will be scheduled for presentation during Poster Hall receptions each day of the Annual Meeting. All posters must be set up by 10 a.m. each day and taken down by the end of the reception. The Poster hall will be active May 13-15, 2025.

Poster Talks
The 2025 ASGCT Annual Meeting will highlight 16 posters for Poster Talks highlighting emerging science in gene and cell therapy by trainees in the field. Poster Talks will be hosted in the Exhibit Hall Presentation Theatre from 12:15 – 1 p.m. on May 14 and 15. These five-minute presentations will allow authors to present three slides and field one question from the audience. This new session format is an in-person benefit and will not be available via live streaming. Following the presentation, we invite the audience to continue these conversations in the poster hall, where the presenter’s poster will be hanging for the day. There are no additional submission requirements to qualify for a Poster Talk.

Abstract Presentation Guidelines
Oral Abstract Guide
In support of ASGCT’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee work and global initiatives, ASGCT will collect phonetic pronunciation and pronouns for abstract presenters. Session chairs will use this information to help introduce each speaker.
Abstract Poster Guide
ASGCT recommends that posters be 3ft (91cm or 36in) tall by 6ft (182cm or 72in) wide to fit on our 4x8 poster boards. Posters may be smaller than this size, but we advise against larger dimensions or orientations. ASGCT has no requirements regarding layout, colors, or what can be included in the poster. Additional author changes may be reflected on the poster even if they are not reflected in the final abstract.
Each presenting author is responsible for printing, transporting, setting up, and taking down their poster at the Annual Meeting. Posters may not be shipped to the convention center.
Poster printers we recommend are:
ASGCT also offers the option to upload an ePoster for our virtual attendees to view. ePosters can be uploaded as a PDF of the printed poster or as an MP4 with a voiceover explaining the poster details. MP4 files should be under 5 minutes in length. All poster presenters are highly encouraged to upload an ePoster as not all attendees can view all posters onsite.
Templates and Materials
Download a Blank Poster Template
ASGCT does not require specific poster material or printing style. Many presenters use photo glossy paper, and other choices include a poly matte or premium satin finish.
You do not need to bring any hanging materials. ASGCT will provide push pins to hang all posters. Please check in at the Poster Info booth if you need assistance hanging your poster.
Journal Publication
All accepted abstracts to the ASGCT Annual Meeting will also be published in a supplemental edition of the Molecular Therapy Journal.
