This session is focused on the current state of gene and cell therapeutics for the airway and the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. These talks provide an overview of the clinical development of viral and non-viral gene therapeutics for the lung and GI tract. Also presented in this session are technological advances aimed at targeting stem cells in the lung to allow for long-term correction of genetic airway diseases such as cystic fibrosis.
