This is the flagship program of the committee, run in partnership with Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences in Tanzania. The first talk will outline a recent NEMJ publication about an ongoing hemophilia trial in South Africa. The talk highlights how industry involvement helps initiate clinical development in low resource settings. The second speaker will discuss local innovation, focusing on a CAR T trial in India. The third speaker will discuss a new collaboration between the largest health center in South America and a non-profit, Caring Cross. The two organizations are working together to provide lentiviral vectors for the region, which will be newly operational in 2024.
