The official acceptance letter, which includes all details of a presentation including date, time and location, will be posted online through the Abstract Submission site. International abstract submitters who plan to attend the ASGCT 22nd Annual Meeting will need to apply for a VISA to travel to the meeting in Washington, D.C., USA.

Please Note: The amount of time required to obtain a VISA has increased tremendously. Abstract submitters will be able to generate invitation letters online so they can apply for their VISA immediately after submitting an abstract. If you have any problems generating your letter, please contact Sam Kay.

Abstract Presentation Information

Oral Abstract Presentations

Approximately 40 percent of accepted abstracts are scheduled as oral abstract presentations. This year, approximately 35 percent of accepted abstracts receive oral abstract presentations. Oral abstract presentations are formal PowerPoint presentations given during 1.5 - 2 hour simultaneous oral abstract sessions. Presentations are 10 minutes in length followed by 5 minutes of Q&A. Presenters are required to disclose any potential conflicts at the beginning of their presentation. For guidelines, directions, and suggestions regarding your oral presentation, please refer to our presentation guidelines. The guide covers stage setup, file-type and program usage guidelines, and tips for a more effective presentation.

Poster Presentations

Sixty percent of all abstracts presented at the Annual Meeting occur during one of three poster sessions.

Poster sessions allow the presenter to illustrate the abstract on a poster board and discuss the abstract with attendees present at the poster session. Posters should acquaint conference participants with the fundamentals of your program, project, or study quickly and easily. Authors must be present during the entirety of the hourlong poster session in which their abstract has been assigned.

Please note that ASGCT will be using vertical poster boards.  Your poster should fit on a board that is 45”wide x 91” tall (3.75 ft. wide x 7.58 ft. tall).  The exact size is up to you, but we recommend you print your poster as 3 ft. wide x 6 ft. tall in portrait form

ASGCT does not provide poster printing services, but posters printed through Call 4 Posters will be delivered to the Annual Meeting and can be picked up at the Annual Meeting.
