All registered attendees will receive an email on Monday, May 11 with a link to sign into the Virtual Meeting.
All sessions will be made available to attendees for up to 30 days after the conclusion of the Annual Meeting. The content of the on-demand archive is dependent on allowance from speakers to rebroadcast their presentations as part of the on-demand archive. Because of the necessary manual edits, attendees can expect a delay of up to 24 hours for on-demand recordings to be available.
No. ASGCT meetings, conferences, and workshops are open to both members and nonmembers. ASGCT members will pay a lower registration rate, upwards of several hundred dollars less than nonmembers. For information on membership benefits and how to join, please visit the Membership section of the ASGCT website.
With the move to a virtual Annual Meeting, registration is now only available online for the 23rd Annual Meeting.
Are there daily or partial registration fees?
No. ASGCT has historically offered daily rates on-site on a case-by-case basis, but due to the newly lowered rates for the virtual meeting and the logistics of a virtual event, the Society is only able to offer full registrations.
Are there lower registration rates for students or postdocs?
Yes. Student members receive substantial discounts for most ASGCT meetings and conferences.
Registrations are confirmed by email immediately after completing registration. Registrations completed by mail or fax will be confirmed by email shortly after they are received. Registrations may also be confirmed by contacting the ASGCT at ASGCT@showcare.com or by phone at (866) 654-0917.
Registration receipts will be sent by email. Receipts are sent immediately for online registrations. If a duplicate receipt is needed, it can be obtained online through contacting the ASGCT at ASGCT@showcare.com or by phone at 1 (866) 654-0917.

Yes! You may transfer your registration to someone else in your organization. There is no fee for equal transfers. If you are transferring to a non-member, you will be invoiced for the difference in member vs non-member pricing. The request must be made via email to ASGCT@showcare.com and include the following information:
After careful consideration of the ongoing spread of COVID-19 overseas and in the United States, the American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy (ASGCT) Board of Directors has decided not to conduct ASGCT’s 2020 Annual Meeting in Boston, Massachusetts scheduled for May 2020.
ASGCT has come to the conclusion that it is only possible to fulfill the Society’s mission by hosting the 23rd Annual Meeting virtually and as-scheduled.
It is our hope that the ability to share innovative science, connect virtually with peers from around the world, and learn from one another will bring forth a sense of renewed optimism in light of the continuing and ongoing challenges ahead.
ASGCT has been monitoring the COVID-19 situation with the health, safety, and well-being of our guests, employees, contractors, speakers, and attendees in mind. The ASGCT Board arrived at this difficult decision after consulting with speakers, vendors, exhibitors, and other Meeting participants, and gathering information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, World Health Organization, Massachusetts Governor, Boston Mayor, and other health authorities. Ultimately, the global nature of our Meeting, rapidly escalating health concerns regarding COVID-19, ongoing travel and other restrictions, and Governor Baker’s recent directive instructing those traveling to Massachusetts to self-quarantine for 14 days, made it impossible for us to hold the Meeting at this time.
We urge those who were planning to attend the Meeting to expedite flight and hotel cancellations. We also ask for your patience as we work diligently to address questions and provide additional information to our participants and guests.
If you have any questions regarding your registration or involvement in the 23rd Annual Meeting, please do not hesitate to email us at info@asgct.org and a staff member will help you directly.
