Immune Responses to Gene Therapy (Organized by the Immune Responses to Gene and Cell Therapy Committee)

The purpose of the section on Immune Responses to Gene Therapy is to highlight with the first two talks challenges that the immune system poses to gene transfer. The next talk will describe biomarkers that can be used to analyze and characterize such responses to allow for targeted treatments such as by implementing immunosuppressive drugs described in the 4th talk to prevent immune-mediated rejection or other types of immune mediated adverse events.
