ASGCT is aware of the Sheraton Boston's decision to temporarily suspend operations as well as the communications from the Sheraton some attendees have received regarding their reservations for the 23rd Annual Meeting. At this time, no action is required of registrants while ASGCT works directly with the hotel to clarify their plans and communication.
The Society remains focused on ensuring the safety, health, and welfare of our Annual Meeting attendees and is dedicated to establishing a solution that will allow attendees, members, presenters, sponsors, and exhibitors the opportunity to fulfill the mission of the Society in accordance with the continually-changing travel restrictions and ongoing guidance updates from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. We look forward to sharing those plans in the very near future.
If you have any questions regarding your registration or involvement in the 23rd Annual Meeting, please do not hesitate to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and a staff member will help you directly.
For more information, please see the dedicated update pages for registrants and exhibitors:

ASGCT currently has room blocks available at three hotels:
The ASGCT room block at the Marriott Copley Place has sold out, but there is still space available at the hotel. If you would like to book a room at the Marriott Copley Place, please call the reservation line directly at (877) 901-2079. For more information on booking a room, please visit our Hotel & Travel page.
The 23rd Annual Meeting abstract submission deadline has passed.
ASGCT abstract reviewers will now begin the process of sorting and reviewing abstracts before presentation status notifications are sent on April 6.
Thank you to everyone who submitted an abstract for presentation at the 23rd Annual Meeting, and we hope to see you all in Boston this May!
Registration for the 23rd Annual Meeting is now open! Early registration rates are available through April 10, 2020, and groups of five or more are eligible for an additional 15 percent discount. Now is the time for members to renew their membership when registering for the Annual Meeting, and non-members are invited to apply for membership to earn the member discount on their registration. As always, Associate Members who are first and presenting authors on an abstract at the Annual Meeting receive free registration.
The American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy returns to a convention center for the first time in seven years when the Society takes over the Hynes Convention Center in Boston May 12-15, 2020.
Join ASGCT in the heart of the biotech valley for the field's premier event, and take in the cutting edge of science with leaders from academia, medicine, industry, advocacy, and more.
ASGCT is now offering two room block options in 2020. Special Annual Meeting rates will be available at the Sheraton Boston Hotel ($295/night during the ASGCT 23rd Annual Meeting) and the Boston Marriott Copley Place ($349/night during the ASGCT 23rd Annual Meeting). Both blocks will open for reservations when Annual Meeting registration opens on December 2. ASGCT room blocks historically sell out months before the Annual Meeting, so we encourage attendees to make reservations as soon as possible. After the ASGCT block is completely full, there's no guarantee attendees will be able to get the same room rate during the meeting.
In past years, a "housing company" representing itself as ASGCT's hotel booking agent has contacted exhibitors and attendees to make hotel reservations on their behalf. No other housing company, agency or person is authorized to place hotel reservations on behalf of ASGCT, meeting attendees, exhibitors, or sponsors.
